But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. - Psalm 86:15 NIV
I don't say it nearly as many times as I should... but I love God. I have loved him since I accepted Jesus as my saviour when I was seven years old at Trout Lake Camp.
And He loves me. Even at my worst. And oh boy, have I been at my worst A LOT. I can be a bit of a brat, a bit self-serving and a bit opionated (everyone in my life who knows me is screaming YEP at that last one.)
Annie's journal prompt today is How do you see your heart responding to God's love?
The answer? In a million different ways. In this time where our nation is broken and people are hurting so badly, he has told me to LISTEN. I think he gave me a real gift of empathy toward others. I wish more people had this empathy. I feel that it has given me the ability to truly see someone for who they are and where they are at. Every person has a voice and a story.
I think He really works in me when it comes to my job. Storytelling has brought about some powerful moments with strangers and friends alike. There are so many interviews where I've prayed beforehand and saw how God worked in it.
And I think he's going to continue to work through this Brave journey. Ask God how he can use you and I promise you He will.
