BE BRAVE: Pray today, whether it is a short sentence muttered under your breath or a few paragraphs written out in your journal. Talk to God. He is listening.

I think the biggest answered prayer was a purely selfish one. When I was out in Washington, about six months in, I learned that my sister-in-law Kayla was pregnant with baby no. 2. It was already so hard to be away from my little one-year-old nephew, Hudson... but now there were going to be MULTIPLE little children I'd be 1800 miles away from?

Heck no. For the next nine months, I prayed harder than I ever have before. I didn't know how it was going to happen... but I needed to be back in Minnesota. Oh and then we found out it was twins. And Wynnie and Georgia were born in March of 2018. Right before UMD won their second national title in men's hockey.

God sure didn't answer my prayer right away. I didn't get the job in Duluth until about two months after Wynnie and Georgia were born. It's okay, though, they were busy getting strong in the NICU and now they are the most wild, charasmatic little girls in the entire world. Truly, they are my little best friends.

But the important thing to remember is that God is listening. He may not answer your prayers right away or in the eact way you want... but you always have His ear. He loves talking to his children.
