One round of treatment done… next steps to be determined shortly.
Finishing treatment was a HUGE accomplishment for Julie that we as a family just spent the last few weeks basking in. My mom is a CHAMP with a CAPITOL “C.” Treatment was hard. There were times I felt helpless knowing there was nothing that I could do to make my bestie feel better.
And if you ask Julie RIGHT at this moment how she is feeling, I think you’d be in awe of how God is working through this woman. The hope that Julie feels right now is kind of unexplainable in these few paragraphs.
I’ll admit, I’ve had moments of high anxiety over the past week or so knowing that MRI is coming up to show the progress of her treatment. You know who’s been the one to calm me down and refocus? Julie. The one with the cancer. The one that this is actually happening to.
So that’s what we await. Tomorrow (January 26th), Julie will have an MRI. When the results return, her team of incredible doctors will determine the next steps.
We could use some more prayer for not getting too fixated on one outcome or another. No matter what that scan reads or what a doctor says... we’re trusting the good Lord.
And as always, we’re praying for healing. Healing from this horrible disease.
