Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another—showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God’s way. Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us. —2 TIMOTHY 3:16–17 MSG

Here's a secret about me: I have struggled to dig into the bible my entire 24-years of existence. I have a short attention span. As a kid, I often relied on the colorful illustrations from my Sunday school teachers and Veggie Tales rather than cracking open the book itself.
I've tried to change that in my adult life. Reading the bible and discovering God's word for yourself is one of the most unreal experiences.
Sure, I may get lost in Leviticus every once in a while and everything regarding burnt offerings and such goes straight over my head. But luckily, we live in 2020 where we have access to unreal resources that help us understand the bible more.
Some of my favorites:
She Reads Truth - They offer so many different plans that help you navigate the book.
The Bible Project on Youtube. These guys are awesome. They break down each book by book with colorful illustrations and easy-to-understand teaching.
What's in the Bible? - Okay, Phil Vischer is the creator of Veggie Tales and he created this series. Yes, he uses puppets to tell bible stories... but honestly, it's a great way to to get a better understanding. And it's very funny. Full playlist
The Bible isn’t boring. It isn’t just lists, or just rules, or just a bunch of stories that are hard to understand. It’s a record of who God is and the story of His great love for His people—and that’s us.

Don't be overwhelemd. The bible is awesome and an ever-discovering story of God's faithfulness and love for us.
