“And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” —MATTHEW 28:20 NIV

BE BRAVE: Just look in the mirror today and say to yourself, “Friend, you are never alone.” (I do this a lot—such a good reminder.)

The world can be a terrifyingly lonely place. Personally, social media has fueled this for me over the years. Why? Because my lonliness, my sitting in an apartment by myself eating Ben and Jerry's watching Grey's Anatomy can be accompanied by the constant scrolling through other people's lives. Seeing other people be with people while I was by myself brings upon the most empty, sad feeling you can imagine.
But friend, just like Annie says...
Do you know what Immanuel means? It is one of God’s names and means “God with us.” Because Jesus paid the price for our sin, God is always with us. Jesus said He would be with us until the end of time.

Even when we are alone. We aren't. Now I'm not excusing you eating B&J's and staying in your lonliness. Especially during this time, it is so important to stay connected. Call a friend. Call a family member. Schedule a zoom happy hour with some coworkers. I guarantee they are feeling bits and pieces of exactly what you are.
Or email me! I would love to chat about the love that God has for both of us.

I post a lot of silly stuff, fair warning. God gave me a goofy sense of humor and I am proud of it, gosh-darnnit.
Friend, no matter what... please know that you are never alone.
