BE BRAVE: What is one question you’ve been afraid to bring to God? Ask Him the question right now, out loud, and listen for His answer.

I have a lot of questions, as I'm sure you do during this time.

Hey God, when is life getting back to "normal"?

When can we have sports back?

For me... will I have a job come fall? A majority of my job relies on the UMD hockey program... and if they don't play, I don't report.

These are definitely scarier questions than I've asked in the past. In the past I've asked things like, "when will I get to work in the Twin Cities? Closer to my family and friends?" or the much funnier, "Yo God, where's my husband?" He's answered that one in some really funny ways... I think God has a great sense of humor.

I think it's okay to be asking these questions. It's just important that we actually listen to the response. Because life may not go back to "normal" for a while. But God may instead show you another way that you can love on your neighbor.

Sports may not come back like we hope for a while, but God may show me a story I've been neglecting because I was so busy being caught up in the typical pattern of the seasons of high school and college sports.

Be brave enough to ask those questions. Sit and have a conversation with God. Go for a walk without your phone or any sort of distraction and just listen. He will reveal Himself to you.

A song to make you brave: He is With Us by Love and the Outcome

This song is very special to me. During a particular tough time when I was living in Washington, this song came on during a drive to Seattle. It was like God was in the front seat, controlling the radio. I was brought to VIOLENT tears. He answered my question:

"You're not alone, Kelly. I'm right here."
